Visiting St Marks Avalon and St Davids Palm Beach or our website for the first time? You are very welcome! We understand you might have a few questions or may just be wondering what we're all about. |

What to expect in our services? You can expect a time of prayer and singing to God as well as biblical preaching every Sunday with diverse group of people attending. We've never brought up the topic of 'what to wear' at church. People just come as they are - and that's the way we like it. Just wear what you want. You won't stand out either way, it's Australia, Northern Beaches! When you come in, you will find some welcoming smiles at the front door. Don't be alarmed, just we are happy to see you. Typical elements during our service include some singing, praying (silent & outloud), a life-application sermon, reading from the Bible, greeting one another, a brief meal called The Lord's Supper, and chatting with friends over refreshments afterwards. Sometimes, we even have people from our church share personal stories of their faith (it's not spontaneous - we like to plan things out). At our 8:00 am service each week and montly basis at 10:00 am, 6:00 pm at St Marks and 9:30 at St Davids , there is an invitation to participate in The Lord's Supper. This is encouraged for all who profess in the Christian faith. If you are uncertain of your faith, we ask you not to participate in this part of the service. It is not the same each week, but one thing is certain - we will never put you on the spot or ask you to participate in something that would compromise your conscience or authenticity. How long does the service last? The service lasts between 70 and 75 minutes. However, we always have refreshments available afterwards for those who want to continue chatting with friends, or to make some new ones! Although we live out community in a variety of ways, Home Groups are really our best way to manifest our conviction, desire, and basic need for belonging. We believe church is not where we go, but rather it is who we are. We live out our identity as the church in community with others. We don't expect you to know everyone in our church, but we hope you will find friendship in a Home Group to be introduced to, or grow in your fellowship with Christ and others.
