Ministry Plan to 2013 - Promoting the Gospel

Overall Aim:

Connect with our community-- corporately and individually-- in meaningful relationships around shared interests with the purpose of :

1. seeking the good of the community;
2. showing Christian love in action through service;
3. sharing the gospel as opportunities arise.   

Specific Goals:

1. Every member is able to identify relationships with people in their life where they are intentionally ‘connecting’ with our wider community.
2. Intentional prayer for these ‘connecting’ relationships.
3. Provide equipping for members in the context of ‘connecting’ relationships.
4. Develop a culture of “inviting” friends into the life of our church.
5. Run 2 evangelistic courses such, as Simply Christianity, Christianity Explored etc, each year.
6. Foster a global vision for kingdom growth through our partnerships with missionaries and mission organisations.       

Programs:

1. Intentional Friendships
2. Connecting Ministries; such as Skatepark BBQ (Thursdays), LinC, Playgroup, PASWCA etc
3. Connecting Events; such as The Barrenjoey Film Festival, Kids Holiday Program, Art in the Park, Avalon Market Day, Palm Beach Carols, services in Avalon House and Pittwater Palms etc etc.
4. Equip members to visit new residents in their neighbourhood-- introduce and give a Welcome Pack. Develop ‘neighbour’ relationships through the community Neighbour Day program.
5. Provide training on how to share the gospel in every day life situations.
6. Develop our Missions Support Team and its role of communication and support for our link missionaries.
